Experience an unrivaled and immersive development and education experience combined for the first time in history! Starting in the fall of 2024, the IFA Residential Academy at The MacDuffie School will offer top athletes the chance to train in an elite development environment while gaining access to enriching educational opportunities in one of Massachusetts’ top college preparatory boarding schools.

With both residential and non-residential options, student athletes will have access to a wide variety of education opportunities through MacDuffie’s robust academic offerings. With advanced courses and a vast selection of AP and Honors programs, this partnership offers the perfect pairing for ambitious, highly skilled players looking to pursue excellence in every facet of their life.

Student athletes will participate in and intensive daily training program opportunities provided by IFA New England staff, with the opportunity to play in teams spanning the MLS NEXT, The Independent School League (ISL), and the National Academy League.

OUR PROGRAM

  • Founded in 1890 by John and Abby MacDuffie, The MacDuffie School has fostered intellectual habits of mind, high ethical standards, and respect for diversity in students for more than 125 years.

    The MacDuffie School is a co-educational college preparatory school for grades 6 – 12 offering a challenging academic curriculum as well as leadership opportunities and a wide range of extracurricular programs in the arts, athletics, and community service.

    Students hail from as far away as Thailand and Mainland China and as near as Amherst and Belchertown in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. Our graduates attend some of the country’s most selective colleges and universities and continue on to successful, rewarding careers.

  • Founded in 2021, IFA New England has rapidly grown to become New England’s premier development environment. Prioritizing development and player growth over profit, IFA New England competes in a variety of leagues throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, including the MLS NEXT, NAL, USYS National League P.R.O., USYS National League, Girl’s Academy Rising, DPL, and NECSL

  • All IFA residential and commuter student athletes will have full access to MacDuffie curriculum, while also participating in advanced training sessions with IFA staff. Players will compete on either the MacDuffie ISL team, the MLS NEXT team, or the National Academy League team
